New Holland E135B Excavator

XMD purchased a New Holland E135B Excavator for use underground. Instead of a bucket, an Alpine attachment was put on the machine.

To get underground, the excavator had to be disassembled and lowered down the shaft in pieces. Once at the work location underground, the excavator was reassembled.

Operational and safety training on the machine started immediately.

The excavator has a 23' reach (plus height of Alpine attachment) to reach up the rib.  This attachment makes it easy to scale and reshape the rib (walls) from the ground level. This is the first of this type of equipment and attachment underground in Saskatchewan.

The machine will be operated 24 hrs per day until the project is completed.

Thank you to everyone who worked to get this project so far to get things rolling.
